HydraFacial in Newport Beach

A Facial That Cleanses, Extracts and Hydrates in One Visit

HydraFacial is a multi-step facial that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates the skin in one visit of about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the level you choose. At Beyond Restore in Newport Beach, a licensed aesthetician tailors each treatment to your skin type, concerns and schedule, whether you want clearer pores, smoother texture or a fresh look before an event.

Every HydraFacial plan starts with a free consultation, so you know what to expect before you book.

What Is HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is a non-invasive facial treatment that combines several skin-renewing steps in a single session. A HydraFacial handpiece cleanses and exfoliates, uses gentle suction to clear out pores, and then infuses hydrating serums into the skin with the brand’s Vortex-Fusion technology. A basic facial mostly works on the surface; each HydraFacial step is designed to clear congestion and deliver hydrating ingredients.

HydraFacial is generally well tolerated by most skin types and tones, including many people with sensitive skin. If your skin is reactive or you have rosacea, tell your aesthetician so the steps and serums can be adjusted.

What Can HydraFacial Treat?

HydraFacial is often used for everyday skin concerns, including:

  • Clogged pores and blackheads
  • Oily or congested skin
  • The look of enlarged pores
  • Dull or uneven-looking skin tone
  • Rough skin texture
  • Dry, dehydrated or flaky skin
  • Fine lines that look more noticeable when skin is dry
  • Skin that looks tired after travel or time in the sun

For deeper concerns such as acne scars, loose skin or sun spots, another treatment may fit better; see the comparison further down this page.

How HydraFacial Works

1. Cleanse and Exfoliate

A gentle exfoliating tip removes dead skin cells while cleansing serums are applied to the skin.

2. Extract

Vacuum-like suction lifts debris and oil out of clogged pores. Most people feel only a light pulling sensation.

3. Infuse and Hydrate

Serums with ingredients such as peptides, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid are infused into the skin to hydrate it and leave it looking smoother.

HydraFacial Levels: Signature, Deluxe and Platinum

Beyond Restore offers three HydraFacial levels. Your aesthetician will help you choose the one that fits your skin and goals.

  • Signature HydraFacial: typically the four core steps of cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and hydration.
  • Deluxe HydraFacial: typically the Signature steps plus a booster serum chosen for your skin concern.
  • Platinum HydraFacial: typically the Deluxe steps plus lymphatic drainage and LED light therapy.

Add-Ons

You can also add boosters, LED light therapy, lymphatic drainage or dermaplaning to your HydraFacial. A visit takes about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the level, and up to about an hour with add-ons.

Benefits of HydraFacial

HydraFacial combines several steps in one short visit, with little downtime. Here’s what many people notice.

Hydration and Glow

Humectants such as hyaluronic acid draw moisture into dry, dehydrated skin, so many people see a fresh, hydrated look the same day.

Clearer-Looking Pores

Vacuum extraction clears buildup from congested pores, which can help reduce blackheads and keep pores clearer between visits.

Smoother Texture and More Even Tone

Exfoliation plus hydrating serums can visibly smooth rough texture and brighten a dull-looking complexion.

Helps Your Skincare Work

Once congestion is cleared, the serums and moisturizers you use at home can absorb more evenly.

Healthy-Looking Skin Over Time

With regular sessions, many people find their skin stays more hydrated and balanced. Results are temporary, so consistency matters.

Little Downtime

Most people go right back to their day. Light redness, if it happens, usually fades within about an hour. Walk-ins are welcome, but scheduling is recommended.

Planning Your HydraFacial Schedule

HydraFacial results are temporary, so most people plan a regular schedule rather than a single visit. Your provider will suggest a rhythm that fits your skin, goals and calendar.

Monthly Maintenance

Many people book about once a month to keep pores clear and skin hydrated. Some come in more or less often, depending on their skin and goals.

Before an Event

Book 1 to 3 days ahead of a wedding, photo shoot or trip, so any light redness has settled and your skin looks fresh on the day.

Season by Season

HydraFacial works year-round. It can be especially helpful after summer sun exposure and in drier winter months, when skin tends to feel tight or dull.

As Part of a Larger Plan

Because it leaves skin clean and hydrated, HydraFacial is often used before microneedling or a light chemical peel. Your provider will recommend the order and spacing.

What to Expect at Your HydraFacial Visit

Before Your Treatment

Your visit starts with a one-on-one consultation with a licensed aesthetician, who looks at your skin and asks about your routine, sensitivities, medications and any upcoming events, then customizes your treatment.

  • Come with a clean face if you can.
  • Avoid retinols and intense exfoliants for 48 hours beforehand.
  • Tell us about allergies, recent peels or laser treatments, and any isotretinoin (Accutane) use.

During Your Treatment

The treatment takes about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the level, and up to about an hour with add-ons. You recline while your aesthetician cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates your skin. Most people find it relaxing, and extraction feels like light suction.

After Your Treatment

Most people notice a fresh, hydrated look right away and return to normal activities the same day. Some people have light redness that usually fades within about an hour.

  • Skip intense workouts and heavy makeup for 24 hours if you can.
  • Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer, and wear sunscreen daily.

We’ll send you home with simple aftercare tips.

Possible Side Effects

HydraFacial is a gentle treatment, but like any skin procedure it can cause side effects. The most common are temporary redness, mild tightness or sensitivity for a few hours. Less often, people notice dryness, a small breakout or irritation from an ingredient.

Rarely, skin can react more strongly, for example with a rash or swelling from an allergy to a serum ingredient. Contact us if redness, itching or swelling gets worse instead of better.

Your aesthetician will review your skin history before treatment and adjust the steps and serums if needed.

Results Timeline

  • Right away: a brighter, smoother and more hydrated look.
  • 1 to 2 days later: pores tend to look clearer and skin feels more balanced.
  • With regular sessions: many people see ongoing improvements in tone, texture and clarity.

HydraFacial results are temporary, and individual results vary with skin type, routine and how often you come in.

Is HydraFacial Right for You?

HydraFacial may be a good fit if you want:

  • A deep clean for congested or oily skin
  • A fresh, hydrated look before an event or vacation
  • A regular reset that keeps your skin goals on track
  • A gentle option for sensitive skin (tell your aesthetician so it can be adjusted)

Who Should Wait

Wait until your skin has healed if you have an active rash, open wounds, a sunburn, a cold sore or a skin infection in the treatment area. Tell your provider if you are pregnant, have rosacea or very reactive skin, have taken isotretinoin (Accutane) recently, or are allergic to any skincare ingredients, so they can adjust your plan or suggest an alternative.

HydraFacial refreshes and hydrates the skin, but it isn’t designed to tighten loose skin, relax expression lines or resurface deeper scars. For those goals, Morpheus8, Botox or a chemical peel may fit better. Want the full picture? Read our HydraFacial in Newport Beach: what to expect.

HydraFacial vs. Chemical Peels, Microneedling and Morpheus8

HydraFacial is one of several skin treatments we offer. Here’s how it compares:

Your main concernOften a better fit
Congestion, dullness, dehydration or a fresh look before an eventHydraFacial
Deeper exfoliation for uneven tone, texture or sun damageChemical peels
Texture, fine lines or mild acne scars, over a series of sessionsMicroneedling
Mild laxity, deeper texture concerns or acne scarsMorpheus8
Sun spots and rednessIPL skin rejuvenation
Lines that form when you frown, squint or raise your browsBotox

HydraFacial vs. a chemical peel: HydraFacial is gentler and usually causes no visible peeling, so it’s an easy option for regular maintenance. A chemical peel exfoliates more deeply and can involve several days of peeling, depending on the peel. Many people use both at different times. For more detail, read our HydraFacial guide or our chemical peel guide.

How Much Does HydraFacial Cost in Newport Beach?

The cost of a HydraFacial depends on how your treatment is customized, whether you combine it with other services in the same visit, and how often you plan to come in. Monthly HydraFacial memberships are available; ask about them at your free consultation.

Financing through PatientFi, CareCredit and Cherry is available for all services, including HydraFacial. Cosmetic facials are generally not covered by health insurance.

HydraFacial Questions, Answered

How many HydraFacial sessions do I need?

One session leaves skin looking fresh and hydrated, but the results are temporary. Many people book about once a month to maintain them, and your provider will suggest a schedule that fits your skin and goals.

HydraFacial combines cleansing, exfoliation, suction extraction and serum infusion in one treatment, using a handpiece built for those steps. A basic facial usually relies on manual steps and products that stay on the surface.

About 1 to 3 days before. That gives any light redness time to settle, so your skin looks fresh on the day. If you’ve never had a HydraFacial, consider a first session a few weeks earlier so you know how your skin responds.

Yes. HydraFacial works year-round. Many people find it especially helpful after summer sun exposure and in drier winter months, when skin tends to feel tight or dull.

HydraFacial is often used as a prep step before microneedling or a light chemical peel, because clean, hydrated skin is a good starting point. In the same visit, you can add boosters, LED light therapy, lymphatic drainage or dermaplaning. Your provider will recommend which treatments to combine and how far apart to space them.

Most people find it relaxing. Exfoliation feels like a cool, gentle sweep, and extraction feels like light suction. Tell your aesthetician if anything feels uncomfortable, and they can adjust the pressure.

Some people have light redness that usually fades within about an hour, and most return to their day right away. Skip intense workouts and heavy makeup for 24 hours if you can.

HydraFacial can help clear congested pores and blackheads, and it’s often used for oily, congestion-prone skin. It isn’t a substitute for medical acne treatment. If you have inflamed or cystic acne, your provider will tell you whether HydraFacial fits or whether another plan would serve you better.

Wait until your skin has healed if you have an active rash, open wounds, a sunburn, a cold sore or a skin infection in the treatment area. Tell your provider if you are pregnant, have rosacea, have taken isotretinoin recently or are allergic to any skincare ingredients.
