alloClae® Body Contouring in Newport Beach

Some curves don’t respond to squats, and some hip dips are simply how your bones are built. At Beyond Restore in Newport Beach, we offer consultations on alloClae®, a ready-to-use structural adipose (fat) tissue made from donated human fat. It’s designed to add targeted volume where fat naturally exists, such as hip dips and buttock contour, without liposuction to harvest your own fat first. The manufacturer describes the treatment as an in-office procedure that typically takes under an hour, with immediate visible volume and most patients back to normal activity within 24–48 hours. Your consultation is where we find out whether alloClae, a fat-transfer BBL, Sculptra®, or another option fits your body and your goals.

At Beyond Restore, alloClae is performed by Dr. Andrew Jarminski, a fellowship-trained cosmetic surgeon.

What Is alloClae?

alloClae is made by Tiger Aesthetics from donated human adipose (fat) tissue. According to the manufacturer, the tissue is processed to keep the natural “honeycomb” structure of the fat cells and the surrounding extracellular matrix (ECM). The finished product contains non-living fat cells, ECM, lipids, and connective tissue. It arrives sterile and ready to use, so your provider places it where volume is needed without first harvesting fat from your body.

Because it’s already prepared, alloClae can be an option for leaner patients who don’t have enough spare fat for a traditional fat transfer.

How alloClae is regulated: alloClae is not a drug or a synthetic filler. Tiger Aesthetics states that it is distributed as a donated human tissue allograft, a Human Cellular and Tissue-based Product (HCT/P) regulated under Section 361 of the Public Health Service Act and 21 CFR Part 1271. HCT/Ps in this category don’t go through FDA premarket approval or clearance like drugs and devices do, so we don’t describe alloClae as “FDA-approved” or “FDA-cleared.”

How alloClae Works

  1. Donated, screened tissue. The fat tissue comes from authorized human tissue donation. Per the manufacturer’s instructions for use, donors go through medical and social history review, a physical assessment, and infectious-disease testing (including HIV, hepatitis B and C, and syphilis) before the tissue is released.
  2. Processed for structure. Tiger Aesthetics says its processing keeps the fat cells’ 3D structure intact for immediate volume, reduces the free-oil content to under 2% to lower the risk of oil cysts, and reduces DNA content.
  3. Sterilized and ready to use. Each container is terminally sterilized with gamma radiation and supplied ready for the procedure.
  4. Placed where fat naturally lives. Your provider places alloClae under the skin (subcutaneously) with a thin cannula through a small entry point, shaping volume in areas such as the hip dips or buttocks.

Every allograft has a tracking number, and we record it in your chart as federal tissue-tracking rules require.

What Can alloClae Help Address?

The manufacturer describes alloClae for use anywhere fat naturally exists in the body. Common body-contouring goals include:
  • Hip dips: softening the inward curve between the hip and upper thigh
  • Buttock shape and contour: subtle gluteal volume and projection
  • Liposuction irregularities: smoothing dents or uneven areas left after prior liposuction
  • Natural curves: refining balance between the waist, hips, and buttocks
Tiger Aesthetics also describes breast uses, such as improving symmetry, addressing implant rippling, refining cleavage, and restoring lost volume. If breast contouring with alloClae interests you, we’ll discuss it during your consultation alongside options like natural breast augmentation with fat transfer. alloClae should only be placed where native fat exists. It is not a facial filler, and it doesn’t replace weight loss or surgical lifting of loose skin.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

You may be a good candidate to discuss alloClae if you:

  • Want subtle, natural-looking volume in the hip dips or buttocks
  • Are lean or athletic and don’t have enough spare fat for a fat-transfer BBL
  • Have dents or irregularities after previous liposuction
  • Prefer an in-office option over surgery and general anesthesia
  • Are in good overall health and have realistic expectations about a gradual, natural-looking change

Who should not receive alloClae

Per the manufacturer’s safety information, alloClae should not be used if you have:

  • Severe allergies or a history of anaphylaxis
  • An active infection

It also should not be placed in areas where fat doesn’t naturally exist. We review your full medical history, medications, and goals before recommending any treatment.

What to Expect

Your consultation

Your visit starts with a one-on-one consultation at our Newport Beach office. We’ll look at your shape, discuss the result you want, and talk through options side by side, including alloClae, a fat-transfer or Sculptra® BBL, and our other body contouring treatments. Because alloClae is priced by volume, we’ll also estimate how much product your plan calls for.

Treatment day

  • alloClae is done in-office. The manufacturer says the procedure typically takes under an hour.
  • Your provider marks the treatment areas, prepares the skin, and places alloClae through a small entry point with a cannula.
  • We’ll review your comfort plan with you in advance.
  • You’ll see a difference right away, because the volume comes from the tissue itself and doesn’t depend on a slow biological response.

Recovery

  • Tiger Aesthetics reports that most patients return to normal activity within 24–48 hours.
  • Some tenderness, swelling, or bruising in the treated area is possible.
  • You’ll go home with written aftercare instructions, and we’ll check in on your progress.

Results and Longevity

  • When you’ll see results: The manufacturer describes results as immediate, because alloClae keeps the natural 3D structure of fat tissue.
  • How long they last: Tiger Aesthetics says results “can be lasting” because alloClae is naturally occurring fat, and that longevity varies with your body and lifestyle. The manufacturer hasn’t published a specific duration. A multi-center study of alloClae in hip dips is underway, with follow-up visits at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months.
  • What affects your result: the amount placed, your anatomy, weight changes, and lifestyle. We’ll never promise a specific outcome.

Individual results vary.

alloClae vs. Fat-Transfer BBL vs. Sculptra® BBL

Each option adds volume in a different way. Here’s how they compare in general terms. Your consultation is where we match one to your body.

What adds the volume Donated human fat tissue, processed and ready to use Your own fat, harvested by awake HD liposuction Poly-L-lactic acid that stimulates your own collagen
Liposuction needed? No Yes (also slims the donor area) No
Need spare body fat? No Yes No
When volume appears Immediately (per manufacturer) Right away; settles as swelling resolves over about 3 months Gradually, starting in 4–6 weeks; full result in about 3 months
Typical downtime Most people resume normal activity in 24–48 hours (per manufacturer) No sitting for 6 to 8 weeks; full recovery in 4–6 weeks No direct pressure for 3–5 days
How long it lasts “Can be lasting”; varies by person (per manufacturer, no set duration) Can last 5+ years with stable weight Typically 2–5 years

Safety and Risks

No procedure is risk-free. The manufacturer lists these potential complications:

  • Cyst or nodule formation
  • Pain or infection
  • Hematoma (a collection of blood under the skin)
  • Allergic or immune responses, including anaphylaxis
  • Discoloration of the skin at the treatment site

Because alloClae is donated human tissue, the manufacturer also notes that despite careful donor screening, testing, and sterilization, no human tissue product can be guaranteed free of all disease-causing agents. We’ll walk you through these risks, and any questions you have, before you decide.

Is alloClae Right for Me?

alloClae may be worth discussing if you want natural-looking volume in your hips or buttocks, don’t have much fat to spare, and would rather skip liposuction and a long recovery. It may not be the right fit if you want a dramatic size change, need excess skin addressed, or have a history of severe allergies.

We’ll give you an honest recommendation, even if that means a different treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is alloClae?

alloClae® is a ready-to-use structural adipose (fat) tissue made by Tiger Aesthetics from donated human fat. It’s placed under the skin to add targeted volume where fat naturally exists, such as hip dips or the buttocks, without harvesting your own fat by liposuction.

2. Where does the tissue come from, and is it screened?

alloClae comes from authorized human tissue donation from deceased donors. Per the manufacturer, each donor goes through medical and social history review, a physical assessment, and infectious-disease testing, and the tissue is sterilized before it’s released. As with any donated tissue, the manufacturer notes that screening can’t guarantee the tissue is free of all disease-causing agents.

3. Is alloClae FDA-approved?

alloClae isn’t a drug or device, so it isn’t “FDA-approved” or “FDA-cleared.” Tiger Aesthetics states that it is a human tissue product (HCT/P) regulated under Section 361 of the Public Health Service Act and the FDA’s tissue regulations in 21 CFR Part 1271, which set requirements for donor screening, testing, and processing.

4. How is alloClae different from a BBL with fat transfer or Sculptra?

A fat-transfer BBL uses your own fat, so it needs liposuction and enough fat to harvest. Sculptra stimulates your own collagen and builds volume gradually over weeks. alloClae uses prepared donor fat tissue, so there’s no harvest, and the manufacturer says volume is visible right away.

5. How long does the procedure take, and what’s the downtime?

The manufacturer says treatment is typically done in-office in under an hour, and most patients return to normal activity within 24–48 hours. Your exact timeline depends on the areas and volume treated.

6. How long do alloClae results last?

Tiger Aesthetics says results can be lasting because alloClae is natural fat tissue, and longevity varies with your body and lifestyle. No specific duration has been published, and a multi-center study is following patients for up to 12 months. We’ll set realistic expectations at your consultation.

7. Who should not get alloClae?

The manufacturer says alloClae shouldn’t be used in people with severe allergies, a history of anaphylaxis, or an active infection, or in areas where fat doesn’t naturally exist. We screen your full medical history first.

8. How much does alloClae cost?

The cost depends on how much volume you want and how many areas are treated, because alloClae is priced by the amount of product used. We’ll give you a personalized quote after your consultation.
