Thigh Lift (Thighplasty) in Newport Beach

Inner, Outer, Spiral & Mini Thigh Lifts for Loose Thigh Skin

A thigh lift, or thighplasty, is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin, and often some fat, from the thighs for a smoother, firmer contour. At Beyond Restore in Newport Beach, we offer inner (medial), outer, spiral and mini thigh lifts.

Performed by Dr. Andrew Jarminski, a fellowship-trained cosmetic surgeon.

It starts with a free consultation.

What Is a Thigh Lift (Thighplasty)?

Loose skin on the thighs often stays after weight loss or appears with age, and exercise alone does not tighten stretched skin. A thighplasty removes that extra skin through an incision and tightens the tissue that remains. Liposuction, including VASER, can be added to refine the shape when Dr. Jarminski recommends it.

Who Is a Candidate for a Thigh Lift?

  • People with loose or sagging skin on the inner or outer thighs
  • Clients at a stable weight, including after major weight loss or GLP-1 weight loss
  • Non-smokers, or people willing to stop before and after surgery
  • People in good general health with realistic expectations
Dr. Jarminski confirms candidacy at the consultation.

How Thighplasty Works

The procedure is done either awake, with Pro-Nox and tumescent local anesthesia, or under general anesthesia. Dr. Jarminski helps you choose at the consultation. He removes excess skin through an incision placed where it is less visible, usually in the groin crease or along the inner thigh, then closes the skin. No drains are used. A thigh lift takes about 4 hours, and you go home the same day.

Types of Thigh Lifts

Version Generally for Incision
Mini thigh lift Mild looseness at the upper inner thigh Short, in the groin crease
Inner (medial) thigh lift Loose skin along the inner thigh Groin crease, sometimes down the inner thigh
Outer thigh lift Looseness on the outer thigh and hip From the groin around the hip
Spiral thigh lift Looseness around the whole thigh Wraps around the upper thigh

Dr. Jarminski recommends a version at the consultation.

Results Timeline

Swelling eases during recovery and the contour continues to settle over the following months. Results can change with weight changes and aging.

Risks

Like any surgery: bleeding, infection, swelling, a visible scar, changes in sensation, asymmetry, fluid collection, wound separation and the possible need for a revision. Dr. Jarminski reviews these at the consultation.

Thigh Lift vs Alternatives

Non-surgical and less invasive options do not give the same results as a thigh lift, because they do not remove loose skin. HD Liposuction removes fat; Renuvion tightens tissue; Morpheus8 Body may suit milder laxity.
